La Canon EOS C300 Mark III è dotata del nuovo sensore Canon DGO 4K Super 35mm, che consente slow motion fino a 120 fps in 4K RAW e fino a 180 fps in modalità 2K. I formati di registrazione possibili sono: Cinema RAW Light (12 bit) e XF-AVC di Canon (GOP lungo 4:2:2 a 10 bit).
Il sensore lavora insieme al processore di immagini Canon DiGIC DV7, che tra le tante funzioni consente anche l’uscita HDR-PQ, la stabilizzazione elettronica delle immagini (EIS) e la registrazione proxy. La camera presenta un doppio slot per schede Cfexpress e uno slot per schede SD. Consente di registrare in Log2 o Log3 e supporta LUT utente personalizzate che possono essere utilizzate su monitor, LCD o mirino.
La tecnologia Dual Pixel CMOS consente non solo di fornire un autofocus estremamente accurato, ma anche AF Touch e rilevamento del volto.
La modalità DGO Dual Gain Output è attiva fino a 60fps. La camera è disponibile con attacco EF o PL. Il corpo è lo stesso della EOS C500 Mark II.
