Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K è dotata di un sensore da 4/3″ per catturare immagini DCI 4K fino a 4096 x 2160 a velocità fino a 75 fps in una varietà di codec tra cui Blackmagic Raw a diversi bit rate e varie opzioni ProRes 422. Con il 6.6, BMPCC 4K ora offre fino a 80 fps in modalità raw 2.8K per 4:3 anamorfico e fino a 75 fps in modalità raw 4K in widescreen 2.4:1. Un’anteprima di de-squeeze 2x è disponibile per 4: 3 e un’opzione di de-squeeze 1,33x. Velocità al rallentatore fino a 120 fps sono disponibili in formato RAW 2,6K per obiettivi Super16 e in Full HD ritagliato. L’aggiornamento 6.6 semplifica il funzionamento con il supporto per Pocket Battery Grip e una funzione integrata a livello di orizzonte. Ulteriori funzionalità dell’aggiornamento 6.6 includono il supporto per lingue aggiuntive, controllo USB PTP, guide frame personalizzabili, una funzione pinch-to-zoom fino a 8x, la possibilità di incorporare LUT personalizzate come metadati in Blackmagic Raw e Di più.
