La Nikon ZR è una cinema camera full‑frame compatta che unisce la tecnologia Nikon al sapere tecnologico RED. Dispone di un sensore da 24,5 MP (semi‑stacked), registrazione interna in 6K RAW con il codec RED R3D NE a 12 bit, e una gamma dinamica oltre le 15 stop grazie alla doppia base ISO (800/6400). È dotata di uno stabilizzatore su 5 assi, autofocus intelligente con riconoscimento di 9 soggetti, e compensazione del “focus‑breathing” per transizioni di messa a fuoco più cinematografiche. Il monitor touch angolabile da 4″ consente di caricare fino a 10 LUT 3D, mentre l’audio interno è registrato in 32‑bit float per un’ampia headroom. Il corpo, leggero (circa 540 g), è robusto e ben sigillato, pensato sia per l’uso run‑and‑gun che in rig professionali espandibili. Supporta l’attacco Z Nikon, permettendo l’uso di lenti NIKKOR Z e adattatori per altre ottiche.
